At Young Page Turners, we believe that every child loves to read, whether they say they do or not, they just haven’t found the right book or genre yet! Books have great power – they can spark imagination, inspire curiosity, improve empathy and shape young minds. From heartwarming picture books to graphic novels and thrilling middle-grade adventures to thought-provoking YA novels, there are books that will grab every reader and make them want to read more. We are dedicated to helping readers, both young and young at heart (children’s books are not just for children!) – find their next favourite story and hopefully find that love of reading.
Having helped children learn to read as a foster carer and volunteered in a Year 1 primary school class, some of the books used to help them learn to read are not necessarily the most engaging and can put young readers off books. So here at Young Page Turners we will try to find something you can lose yourself in and develop that love of reading, whatever genre you like to read.
What We Do
We provide reviews of children’s and young adult books. With our reviews we hope to guide parents, carers and guardians, young readers and even educators through the fantastic world of children’s literature. Our reviews highlight:
