Book review policy for Young Page Turners.

Hello readers, authors, publishers, publicists and anyone else that might be visiting this page. This is the book review policy for Young Page Turners.

Thank you for visiting Young Page Turners and expressing an interest in children’s and young adult books. Based in the UK, I am presently accepting review requests from authors, publishers, and publicists. This blog is dedicated exclusively to reviewing books suitable for children and young adult readers. For reviews of other genres, please visit my other website, What’s Good to Read.

I generally only accept physical books for review – I just prefer the look and feel of a real book and I find that it does add to the overall reading experience (especially with picture books as my Kindle is not colour and doesn’t do the illustrations justice).

Sending a book for review does not guarantee an immediate review. ARCs may be reviewed post-publication (although I do my best to review them before the publication date). I do not give deadlines for publication of a review due to my TBR pile, time constraints and delays receiving them in the post.

While I cannot guarantee my reviews will always be positive, but they will be honest and fair. I will not write a positive review just because I have been sent a book for review. If you are not comfortable with that, I may not be the blogger for you. However, if my review is not entirely positive I will give my opinion in the review of why I didn’t enjoy it. If I do not finish a book for whatever reason I will not post a review, I don’t feel that posting a negative review is fair if I could not finish it – it could just be because it is really not the book for me or I need to go back to it at a later date – but I will always email the sender of the book and let them know the reasons why and go from there.

All my reviews are published on my website https://youngpageturners.co.uk with links to the reviews on Facebook and X (Twitter).

I do not charge for reviews, but when linking to Amazon to purchase the book I have reviewed I will use an Amazon affiliate link for which I receive a very small commission if a purchase is made (it helps with the running costs of the website). I do not operate this blog as a business or to make money, I love reading and writing reviews so it is just a hobby that I enjoy.
